About CMQ

Raindrops on My WindowColorMeQuilted.com is the home of award winning quilter Lynda DeTray.

I live in northwest Ohio with my husband, Jeff, and have been quilting since 2007.

I’m a website designer by day (and a lot of nights) and I’m thrilled that it gives me the flexibility to quilt when the urge hits, which is quite often. Besides making quilts, I enjoy creating totes and bags and coming up with my own original designs.

I try not to be a perfectionist when I’m quilting. I find that when I approach it in a relaxed way I get the most relaxation out of it. I love getting lost in my quilt studio, with the radio on and fabric all around me. If it’s raining out, so much the better!

Outside of quilting, I also enjoy drawing in pencil, charcoal and pen and ink, and try to take an art class every once in a while just for the fun of it.

  1. Thank you SEW much for this pattern! I was one of those disappointed QBer’s who lost the directions to this pattern! Will be following your blog.
    Thanks,
    Melinda

  2. Thanks for the great “Double Pinwheel Pattern”… I’ll post a photo when I get one made! Have to wade through a few Christmas quilts first. Is there a place on your blog that people can post photos of the patterns you share here?
    Thanks again,
    Felicia

    • Hi Felicia – You are very welcome! I’ll have to look in to having some sort of gallery on the site. In the meantime feel free to email me any photos and I’ll post them.
      Thanks – Lynda

  3. Thanks so much for posting the pattern. It looks so cool and easy. I’m also part of th QB group who went searching for the pattern.

  4. Please allow me to have your email address.
I am a senior and a bunch of us would like to ask you a question or two.
    Many thanks
    Monique
